Skylar has always held a deep passion for serving families. Whether she was helping her family welcome new babies, spending her summers as a camp counselor, or working as a full-time nanny for children of all ages, Skylar’s path has always pointed towards doula work. After completing her undergraduate education at St. Lawrence University with a focus in communication theory and gender and sexuality, she followed the call of the mountains from Upstate New York to Colorado.
Skylar is a professionally trained doula, professional placenta specialist, and certified yoga instructor. She has also completed courses in postpartum wellness and support for vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC). Skylar believes that all people deserve access to evidence-based, bias-free support and information in order to make the best decisions for themselves, their bodies, and their families.
Skylar brings her warmth, energy and empathy to each of her clients. She is committed to providing high-quality and individualized care through labor and delivery, as well as a nuanced understanding of a family's needs in the postpartum period. She is a fierce advocate for the rights of all people to make informed decisions about their bodies, especially their reproductive health. As a queer doula, Skylar is particularly passionate about helping LGBTQ folks build their families and access comprehensive, compassionate health services. She spends as much time as she can outdoors, soaking in all of the beauty and magic Colorado has to offer. She loves to cook and watch movies with her wife, Lilly, practice yoga, and snuggle her fur-child, Nico.

Mac Brydum, MSW, CLEC, is a social worker, birth and postpartum doula, lactation educator counselor, and infant sleep consultant. His years of experience as a community organizer and social justice activist inform his approach to doula work. Mac is an out and proud queer transgender man who believes that culturally competent, inclusive care during times of vulnerable transition makes a tremendous impact on the wellness of a family for years to come.
Mac is a Certified Lactation Educator Counselor (CLEC), and he enjoys supporting breast/chest feeding families with the information they need to feel confident about their feeding choices. He also offers gentle sleep consulting for infants and young children.
Mac’s passion lies in working with diverse families to support the entire group as they welcome a new character to the brood. He specializes in providing inclusive support to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) families throughout their pregnancy, birth, and parenting journeys. Mac has worked with many sets of twins, and enjoys the unique joys and challenges of multiples.
If you are preparing to welcome a new child into your life, Mac can offer the kind of compassionate, informed, and genuinely accepting support you and your loved ones need. As your doula, Mac’s top priority is to act as your adviser, friend, and ally as you venture out into the world with your newest addition.

Finally bringing home your baby or newly adopted child is a wonderful, magical time. But having a newborn entirely in your care and suddenly becoming a parent can also feel overwhelming, confusing and scary. That's where Melita comes in! It is Melita's deep desire to help parents feel confident and capable at the new job they have been given. She will assist you, support you and honor you to be the best parent you can be.
Although she serve all families in need of additional support, Melita is adept at providing support to diverse family and parenting structures including same-sex, transgender, assistive reproduction and adoptive families.
As a Postpartum Doula, Melita will be there for you in the first 12 weeks after birth or arrival of your child. She can help you become a confident caretaker of your child while also caring for yourself and your partner. During the first few months of new parenthood, everyone needs to feel knowledgeable about basic newborn care, capable of good healthy self-care and relationship-care and finally, encouraged that life will return to a sense of normal. Parenting will become easy and a part of life outside the home; and life outside the home will become exciting and manageable again.
Melita's services include emotional support, feeding assistance, newborn care, calming assistance, colic assistance, throwing dinner in the crockpot, light cleaning, taking the family dog for a walk and helping with the baby while you nap, eat, sleep, etc. She also offers Prenatal, Postpartum Massage, Colic 911 sessions and Infant Massage Lessons at an additional fee.
Melita has been working with babies, new parents and non-traditional families since 2004. Her background includes working in after-school programs, being a mom, and babysitting from age 12. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish and spent much of my early career working as a bilingual community educator and program director of the Anti-Violence Project at the LGBTQI Community Center in Tucson, AZ. Melita has Licensed Massage Therapist since 2007 with additional certification in Pre/Postnatal Massage Therapy. She is a Certified Educator of Infant Massage through the International Association of Infant Massage, and also completed her Yoga Teacher Training in 2013. She is currently certifying as a CAPPA Certified Postpartum Doula.

As the mother of 4, Patience Bleskan supports parents with both the personal and professional perspective. She has had her own experiences with postpartum depression, loss of community and balancing a career with raising a family. These experiences and her passion for helping others understand children is what drives her life.
After teaching preschool for seven years, Patience Bleskan founded her Parent Education and Coaching Business in 2003. The work began with classes for parents, but has grown to include groups, consulting, preschool training, keynote speaking and doula work. She has now worked with hundreds families from all over the country. Patience Bleskan, MA founded of Patience Parenting Services,LLC in 2003 and is ecstatic to have opened The Family Room. A 15 year old dream that has finally manifest. She has been working with families with young children for close to 20 years.
Over the last 10 years Patience has attended about 120 births, and become a leading expert of infant and early childhood sleep. She has supported hundreds of families around the country through her classes, groups and consultations. She also has presented at numerous community events. Sierra is a dedicated doula and placenta specialist with a passion for supporting her clients during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. She is inspired by the strength of women and pregnant/birthing people, the miraculous human body, and the beauty of birth.
Sierra holds a B.A. and B.F.A. from the University of Colorado and has a background in the arts, human rights, and health. She was introduced to the doula profession at a reproductive justice conference, and was immediately inspired by its potential to transform the culture of birth and beyond. Feeling called to learn more, Sierra attended a CAPPA labor doula training and fell completely in love! While completing her certification, she also trained in placenta encapsulation and postpartum wellness to provide a holistic range of services.
Sierra’s approach to birth work is informed by her compassionate soul, her curious mind, her giving heart, and her creative spirit. Her top priority is helping her clients have the best birth experience possible! As part of your doula team, Sierra is here for you: to listen to your needs and goals; to share evidence-based information; to help you clarify the choices that are right for you; and to provide present, loving, hands-on support. She is honored and overjoyed to be part of each journey!
When she’s not busy with Luna Doulas, Sierra loves making art, reading, exploring Colorado’s natural wonders with her partner, Tom, and cuddling her cat, Flora.
